EVERYONE BUT CASPAR!   –  Kunsthalle Niendorf, Hamburg

With an OPEN CALL, we have invited professional artists to submit up to three works of art. The jurying is based solely on the number and format of the artworks, which should not be larger than DIN A4. All artists are allowed to take part, except Caspar David Friedrich, who is currently receiving enough attention everywhere. The individual works of art in different materials and techniques, such as drawing, painting, print, photography, paper, canvas, video and small objects, framed or unframed, form a total work of art in which no one contribution is more important than the other and authorship is not the main focus.

543 artists from Germany, Europe and overseas responded to the OPEN CALL and submitted a total of 1266 works for the exhibition.
